Conditions of Entry – 2025 Lara Golf Club OPEN
1) Event fees must be paid at time of entry (NO payments on the day).
2) The Match & Play Committee of the Lara Golf Club shall have the entire management of the tournament. They may for any reason, either cancel or shorten any contest on any day.
3) The Match & Play Committee has the power to temporarily alter a player's handicap in accordance with the Australian Course Rating and Handicapping system.
4) Entries are restricted to Amateurs who are members of Golf Australia, or members of clubs affiliated with other states or overseas organizations recognized by Golf Australia and the Match & Committee shall have the right to refuse entry to any person without being required to give any reason for the refusal.
5) To be eligible to win a Major Prize, players must have played at least 10 individual competition (handicap) rounds of golf in the preceding 12 months.
6) The tournament meeting shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, Scotland, together with the local rules as are in force on the course over which the competition takes place. If a dispute arises on any point, it shall be decided by the Match & Play Committee, whose decision will be final. Any dispute or protest must be made to the Match & Play Committee within 15 minutes of the day’s play being completed.
7) ALL players must report to the Event Organiser in the Lara Golf Club foyer at least 30 minutes prior to hit-off and be prepared to play when called upon by the starter.
8) Rule 6-7 (Pace of play) will be strictly enforced. Each group must maintain its position on the course with respect to the group preceding them. Any group with a clear hole in front of them will be considered out of position. Penalties may be issued to individuals in such groups who by their pace contribute to such delay.
9) Players and Caddies must observe the Dress Standards and any course requirements of Lara Golf Club and Golf Victoria’s Code of Conduct.
10) TIES: All ties (except for the Winner of Single Gross Events) will be decided by Countback according to the Golf Australia Countback System. Single Gross Event Winners shall be decided by sudden death play-off over holes one to five and repeating, if necessary, until a sole winner has been achieved.
11) No Competitor shall be permitted to win more than one Major Trophy per day (EXCEPT the “Tucker/Phayer” Perpetual Trophy for the Women’s Event).
12) All visitors to Lara Golf Club during the Tournament will be considered honorary members for the day.
13) Distance measuring devices are permitted. A Player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. A device that measures other functions may not be used at all, irrespective of whether those functions are used or not.
14) Grade Handicaps will be decided after the close of entries.
15) Late entries MAY NOT be accepted after the closing date if fields have been finalised and capacities reached.
